
This past weekend the Ridgewater Warriors Men and Women's basketball teams competed at home on Friday vs Northland Community College and on Saturday against Itasca Community College. The Men came into the weekend with a 5-4 record while the Women came into the weekend with a 0-8 record.
The Men picked up a win over Northland Community College by a score of 85-70. The Warriors led at half 37-29 and never looked back. Tyrese Mayo had a great game for the Warriors with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Mayo shot 9-15 from the field including 4 of 7 from deep. Saturday the Warriors picked up a 81-78 victory over the Vikings from Itasca. Aiden Wichmann scored 20 points on 7 of 13 shooting. Wichmann also had a team high 4 steals. Michael Henderson led the Warriors with 8 assists and 8 rebounds. The Men improve to a 7-4 record with two non-conference games left before MCAC conference play begins.

The Ridgewater Women's basketball team fell to the #2 ranked Northland Pioneers by a score of 72-51. The Pioneers jumped out to a 30-13 halftime lead and the Warriors couldn't close the gap in the second half. Nevaeh Rahm led the Warriors with 12 points while Lily Dean added 11. Kaydence Bertram led the Warriors with 10 rebounds. Saturday the Warriors picked up their first Victory of the season with a 60-52 win over the Vikings from Itasca. Grace Jackson led the Warriors in scoring with 14 points while Kaydence Bertram picked up a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Nevaeh Rahm had another good day inside scoring 13 points. The Warriors improve to a 1-9 record with two non-conference games left before MCAC conference play begins.
