
It was a busy weekend for Ridgewater Athletes. The Ridgewater Men and Women's basketball teams traveled to Anoka-Ramsey Community College on Saturday for a MCAC Conference game while the Wrestling team went to Northland Community College for the Northland Open!
The Ridgewater Men's basketball team picked up a 99-91 win over the Rams! Tyrese Mayo led the Warriors with 25 points while Aiden Wichmann and Miguel Maloney each added 20 points. DeAndre Holloway had a double-double for the Warriors with 12 points and 14 rebounds. The Warriors improve to a 12-7 overall record with a 4-3 record in the MCAC Conference. The Warriors are back in action on Saturday at 3pm at home vs St. Cloud Tech.
The Ridgewater Women's basketball team fell to the Rams by a score of 77-57. The Warriors jumped out to a 20-14 first quarter lead but found themselves down 35-33 at halftime. The Warriors found themselves down 56-55 with 7 minutes left in the game but the Rams went on a 21-2 run to put away the Warriors. Kaydence Bertram led the Warriors with 17 points, on 6 of 11 shooting, and 8 rebounds. Nevaeh Rahm had 13 points and 9 rebounds while Julia Hines added 12 points for the Warriors. The Warriors have a 2-16 overall record and a 1-5 record in the MCAC Conference. The Warriors are back in action on Saturday at 1pm at home vs St. Cloud Tech.
The Ridgewater Wrestling team traveled to Northland Community College for an Open on Saturday. Tegan Sherk finished in 2nd place at 141. James Morgan finished in 5th place at 165. Seth Meyer finished in 4th place at 197 while Tucker Hugg finished 3rd at 285. The Wrestlers are back in action on Saturday at the Concordia Invite in Moorehead.
