• Entering 6th season as Head Basketball Coach at Ridgewater College
• Spent 2 seasons as the assistant coach at Ridgewater College
• Prior to being an assistant at Ridgewater, Thooft spent 2 seasons as the Student-Assistant coach at North Dakota State University 

Playing Experience

• Cross Country, Basketball, and Track & Field athlete at Redwood Valley High School
• Track and Field/Cross Country athlete at North Dakota State University 

Education 

• Bachelors of Science Degree in Sport Recreation Leadership from North Dakota State University, 2013
• Master of Science Degree in Physical Education from Southwest Minnesota State University, 2022

Personal Information

• Coach Thooft and his wife, Hannah, live in Marshall, MN with their two children, Makai and Adella.
• Outside of Coaching Duties at Ridgewater College, Coach Thooft works in Student Life Department at Ridgewater College

Coaching Outlook

• "I am focused on a establishing a team that has a family atmosphere built around communication, accountability, and making good decisions. We are building a program to compete in the MCAC and develop young men who are prepared to be successful when they leave our program. I am excited about this season and the progress the program has made over the last few years. It is important that athletes in our program are prepared to be successful in the classroom, on the floor, and in their communication."
